I am very excited about our new school year. This will be my fifth year at Northwoods Park Middle School. I am originally from Long Island, New York. I have a BA in English and a Masters in Teaching from Binghamton University in New York.

I enjoy reading, boating, and going to museums and plays. I believe that Middle School is a very important time in life where one learns not only about academics, but also about themselves and the rest of the world. I am very excited about the new school year.

Grading System:

The class curriculum consists of a Balanced Literacy program focusing on reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing. Grades are based on writing assignments, homework, group and individual projects, vocabulary assignments, reports, and classwork.  Not all assignments are for a grade- the students will be clearly notified of which assignments are graded.

Progress Reports are issued every four and a half weeks. Report cards come out once every nine weeks.
